SES also works with conventional way of increasing the structural capacity by increasing the effective cross sectional area of RCC members. New additional reinforcement is provided along with shear connectors at specific intervals and a RCC jacket is casted around existing member with shuttering as usual. At times concrete is pumped or poured through cores cut in slab; same process as for columns albeit with different RCC detailing applied for each beams, slabs, column capitals, over lays, etc as per deficiency and design. It is important to prepare surface profile depending of overlay thickness; we use special profiles to ensure the same.
